US Players – Delay in UIGEA Regulations

Rumours were confirmed and addittional information has been revealed regarding the fact that U.S. Treasury Department may delay the enforcement date of the UIGEA.

Rep. Barney Frank officially stated what is expected be done: "The Treasury Secretary has accepted the PPA’s petition for a delay of 6 months."

The PPA has not commented on the statements so far and they state that they are waiting for the official word from the Treasury Department.

It is hoped that the additional time span will give a chance for bills HR 2266 and HR 2267 to repeal the UIGEA.
